UFC 94: St-Pierre vs Penn 2 fight event is scheduled on January 31, 2009 Saturday 7pm PT/10pm ET at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This will be their 2nd encounter.
It can be noted that Georges ‘Rush’ St. Pierre and BJ ‘The Prodigy’ Penn exchanged punches and kicks last March 2009. Penn fought for the division’s No. 1 contender’s spot in which St-Pierre earned a razor-thin split decision and went on to win the UFC welterweight title. Penn dropped to the lightweight division and won the organization’s 155-pound title.
This time, Penn is aiming to make history for holding two UFC championships by defeating St. Pierre for the UFC welterweight championship in this much-anticipated match.
Aside from the main match, other minor but equally exciting matches are gonna take place. Here are the other UFC 94 fight card matches:
